How to use the Teams shortcuts sheet

  1. Search or scroll. Type what you want to do, such as “mute”, “share” or “chat”, and the list narrows as you type. The group buttons above the list jump straight to a section.
  2. Learn the first eight. Ctrl+Shift+M, Ctrl+Shift+O, Ctrl+Space, Ctrl+Shift+K, Ctrl+Shift+E, Ctrl+Shift+Space, Ctrl+Shift+Y and Ctrl+Shift+H cover most meetings. The rest of the list is there for the day you need it.
  3. Print it or save the PDF. The Print button prints only the sheet. The PDF is the same list on one page, ready to keep next to your keyboard.
  4. Check a key inside Teams. Press Ctrl+. or Alt+/ in Teams to open Microsoft’s own list and compare it with this sheet.

Ctrl+Space unmutes you temporarily, and only after you switch it on: open Settings, then Privacy, and make sure “Keyboard shortcut to unmute” is on. Microsoft’s keys refer to a US keyboard layout, so on another layout a key might not match exactly.

Which key for which moment?

The same keys, sorted by what is happening in the meeting. Every key comes from Microsoft’s list, read on October 31, 2026.

Tips for using Teams shortcuts

  • Switch on the unmute key before the call. Ctrl+Space does nothing until “Keyboard shortcut to unmute” is on under Settings, then Privacy.
  • Find the share tray with the keyboard. Ctrl+Shift+E opens it, so you can choose what to share without hunting for the button mid-call.
  • Do not mix up the call keys. Ctrl+Shift+H ends the call, and Ctrl+Shift+D declines an incoming one. Learn them before a live meeting.
  • Look at the whole list once. Ctrl+. shows Microsoft’s own list inside Teams, which is the quickest way to spot a key that changed.
  • Practise in a test call. Start a call with a colleague, share a window and press every key you plan to use, before the real meeting.

Who it is for

Teachers, trainers and speakers

Keep the keys you use rarely, such as the share tray and the lobby, on one sheet beside the keyboard. Pair it with the presentation timer so the clock and the call are both under your hands.

People sharing slides in a call

When you present in Teams you cannot fumble for menus. If the deck is PowerPoint, the PowerPoint shortcuts sheet covers the slide show side, and the Zoom shortcuts sheet covers the other big meeting app.

Privacy

The sheet runs in your browser. The search filters the list on your device, and what you type is never sent or saved. The site counts visits and tool use in aggregate, such as “search used”, and never your words. The PDF is a plain file with no tracking in it.

FAQ

Teams shortcut questions

Are these Teams shortcuts free?

Yes. The search, the print view and the one-page PDF are free, with no signup and no email address. Your searches stay in your browser and nothing is uploaded. SHARA, the Windows app from the same team, also has a free tier.

What is the shortcut to share my screen in Teams?

Press Ctrl+Shift+E to open or close the share tray, where you choose what to share. Then Ctrl+Shift+Space moves focus to the sharing toolbar. Microsoft’s list has no single key that shares the whole screen.

How do I see all the Teams shortcuts inside the app?

Press Ctrl+. (the period key) or Alt+/ in Teams to open Microsoft’s own list. Microsoft says its keys refer to a US keyboard layout, so other layouts might not match exactly.
